According to SOCAR, in June 2014 301,587 tons of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan oil was transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. In June 2013 the volume of oil transit via BTC totaled 270,350 tons. However, that time only Turkmenistan oil was transported via BTC.
According to Caspian Barrel, in May 2014 trial transportation of Russian oil started via BTC. LUKoil private company, which extracts oil on the Russian shelf, announced transportation of 30,000 tons of oil to the world markets via BTC. In June the Russian company made no statements about transportation of oil.
