By 2021 capacities of crude oil production on the joint fields located to the west of Karun region (Khuzestan province) on the Iranian territory will reach 1.4 million barrels a day, reported the Department to Study Economic and Financial Practicability of Consolidated Projects of the Iranian National Oil Company.
The report reads that at present oil production in this region totals about 300,000 barrels a day. Till that time it is planned to increase capacity to produce natural gas on these fields up to 28.3 million cub.m. a day, which will be used to supply local refineries with raw materials , for consumption at the petrochemical plants and to implement the project to inject and export gas.
The report reads that within three coming years it is planned to reach daily oil production of 550,000 barrels of crude oil and 9.5 million cub.m. of natural gas as a result of implementation of the project for integrative development of these fields.
The funding worth $12.5 billion is planned to used to implement the project.
