During six months this year State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has exported 1,452,574 tons of Azerbaijani oil transported via the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline from the Georgian Supsa port. Oil export from Supsa increased by 6.4% against the same period last year.
SOCAR press office reported that in June 2014 SOCAR shipped 242,039 tons of Azerbaijani oil from the Supsa port.
During 2013 SOCAR has shipped from Supsa port a total of 2,725,095 tons of oil.
Oil extracted on the Chirag field, which is a part of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli offshore bloc of fields operated by BP, is delivered to the world markets through the Supsa port.
