The Azerbaijani government has specified cost of the gas infrastructure from the Caspian Sea coast to the EU border.
In his interview to The Business Year magazine Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev said that cost of the gas infrastructure is estimated at $19.5 billion.
Minister specified that expansion of the Sangachal terminal and the South Caucasian gas pipeline will cost $6.5 billion and construction of the trans-Anadolu gas pipeline (TANAP) – about $13 billion.
New 385-km-long gas pipeline is planned to be built on the territory of Azerbaijan to deliver the Caspian gas from the Shah-Deniz-2 project, expand the pipeline in Georgia, build a new compressor station and expand the existing stations (cost of the project $1.5-2 billion). In Turkey it is planned to be build a new gas pipeline with the carrying capacity between 16 and 31 billion cub.m. of gas a year and with the length of 1780 km from the Turkish-Georgian to the Turkish-Greek border.
The gas pipelines construction will begin in early 2015.
