By 2020 Uzbekistan plans to increase production of liquid hydrocarbons up to 3.5 million tons and natural gas – up to 66 billion cub.m., said Shokir Faizullayev, chairman of Board of Uzbekneftegas, at the international oil and gas conference yesterday.
He said by 2020 annual natural gas export will increase by 20% at the expense of power and gas saving within the country. By 2020 the annual gas consumption by the fields of economy is supposed to go down by 5-7% against 2013 and consumption by the population will remain at the level of 2013.
The hydrocarbon production data of 2013 has not been released in Uzbekistan yet. According to the official statistical information, in 2012 the country produced 3,165,000 tons of liquid hydrocarbons and 62,911,000,000 cub.m. of gas.
