On May 27, 2014 the Caspian Technical Training Centre (CTTC) managed by BP-Azerbaijan company celebrated its 10th jubilee.
BP-Azerbaijan press office reported that the Centre was opened in May 2004 by BP and its partners in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG), Shah-Deniz, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and the South Caucasian Gas pipeline (SCP) projects.
CTTC is the world class Technical Training Centre, which was created to satisfy the requirements of the projects in the Caspian region operated by BP in the professional technical personnel. The Centre has organized trainings during ten years. The Centre has obtained international accreditation of City and Guilds, OPITO and JTL.
The Centre has been training over 300 technicians a day. By present CTTC has trained over 900 technicians involved in the regional objects operated by BP.
The trainings are provided by the specialists of the world leading technical provider TTE Petrofac.
The Centre is equipped with unique training objects, such as simulator of the drilling operations control room and the workshop with widely used equipment in the oil and gas industry.
The Centre is located on the Sangachal terminal, 40 km south of Baku.
