From January to April 2014 the Aktau international sea port reduced oil and oil products transshipment by 226,000 tons against the same period in 2013, reported a source from the Aktau port.
2,332,000 tons of oil and oil products has been shipped through the port from January to April 2014. 2,558,000 tons of hydrocarbons were shipped during the same period in 2013.
In April 2014 oil transshipment in the Aktau port totaled 624,000 tons, up 142,000 tons against the same period in 2013.
During 4 months, 2014 1,407,000 tons of dry cargo was shipped through Aktau port, of which transshipment of metal products totaled 335,000 tons.
During the same period in 2013 951,800 tons of dry cargo was shipped through the port, of which 250,000 tons were metal products.
The volume of ferry transportation increased by 260,000 tons against the same period in 2013. From January to April 2014 609,000 tons various cargo was shipped through the Aktau port by ferry against 349,000 tons during the same period in 2013.
Grain shipment through the Aktau port increased by 126,000 tons. During 4 months, 2014 transshipment of grain totaled 302,000 tons against 176,000 tons during the same period in 2013.
During 4 months, 2014 total volume of cargo transshipment through the Aktau port totaled 3,739,000 tons against 3,508,000 tons during the same period in 2013.
