SOCAR has put into operation the petrol station under its own brand name in the Romanian city of Bakeu, reported the Romanian representation of SOCAR.
The station will sell petrol 95 and 98, Euro Diesel 95 and Super Euro Diesel 98. This is the second petro station under SOCAR brand name in the city. The first one was opened in February 2014. The investments into the petrol station in Bakeu totaled 950,000 Euro.
Therefore, number of SOCAR’s petrol stations in Romania reached 28. Since early 2014 SOCAR put into operation nine petrol stations under its own brand name in Romania.
In 2011 SOCAR entered the Romanian market of retail sale of oil products after acquisition of 90% shares of Romtranspetrol company. As a result of that a joint Azerbaijani-Romanian SOCAR Petroleum SA has been created. At present SOCAR is the only shareholder of SOCAR Petroleum SA. SOCAR’s investments into the Romanian economy exceeded 50 million Euro.
