SOCAR has launched the catalytic reforming and the carbonization installations after repair at the Heydar Aliyev oil refinery.
SOCAR press office reported that for this purpose SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev has visited the oil refinery.
The company’s administration has been informed that the main goal of repair of the catalytic reforming installation was to restore full operation of some of its compartments.
The main works at the catalytic reforming installation were performed in DR-211 reactor, in particular the internal parts of the reactor have been replaced. The pipes of BN-211, 212, 213 and 214 furnaces have been cleaned, the fireproof bricks were restored, he insulation works were carried out and the worn out metal coating has been replaced. The installation has been launched after the 10-day-long repair.
The pipes were replaced on the carbonization installation N 43. The repair of the catalytic cracking installation is going on.
The repair works continue on two other installations of the oil refinery. Till the end of April 2014 SOCAR plans to complete all the works, after which the oil refining capacities will be increased.
