Neftogas Ukraine national shareholding company is ready to buy gas from Europe on the competitive basis, RBC Ukraine quoted Andrei Kobolev, chairman of Board of the company, s saying at a press conference.
“We will invite bids and choose the lowest price. We will provide a transparent information about the price and the supplier,” Kobolev added.
Yesterday Aleksei Miller, chairman of Board of Gasprom, said that in quarter 2, 2014 Russian gas price for Ukraine will rise to $385.5 per 1000 cub.m.
On December 17, 2013 Ukraine and Russia signed the addendum to a long-term gas contract, which envisaged that from January 1, 2014 Gasprom will sell gas to Neftogas at the price of $268.5 per 1000 cub.m. Before that gas price for Ukraine totaled about $400 per 1000 cub.m.
