Turkey also imports gas from Azerbaijan, which is supplied via the South Caucasus gas pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum).
Moreover, Botas exported around 71 million cubic meters of gas in January 2014 compared to 47 million cubic meters in January 2013.
The company exported 694 million cubic meters of gas in 2013 compared to 622 million cubic meters in 2012.
Some 4.43 billion cubic meters of gas was sold in the Turkish domestic market in January 2014 compared to almost 3.4 billion cubic meters of gas in January 2013, according to the statement.
The figure was more than 37.96 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013 compared to 41.44 billion cubic meters in 2012.
