State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has started the talks on import of AI-95 petrol.
SOCAR said the negotiations are in progress and the agreement will be achieved in the near future. SOCAR has refused to name the countries with which talks are conducted referring to commercial secret.
A reliable pro-governmental internet portal said that SOCAR has been instructed to import AI-95 petrol.
The Azerbaijan Cabinet of Ministers has cancelled 15% customs duty on import of AI-95 petrol.
The decision entered into force on February 1, 2014. The AI-95 petrol will be exempt from customs duty till June 1, 2014.
