Baku/28.03.14/Turan: From May 1, 2014 gas prices for the population will go up by 50% and for July 1, 2014 gas prices will go up by 40% for thermal energy making enterprises, UNIAN news agency reported on Wednesday quoting Yurii Kolbushin, Director of Department of Economic Planning and Finance of Naftogas Ukraine.
He said the final tariffs will be mentioned in the government resolution.
Rise public utilities prices, including gas prices for the population, which have been earlier subsidized by the state budget, is among the key conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for providing aid to Ukraine. IMF could provide Ukraine $15-20 billion, reported RIA Novosti.
