Baku will participate at the meeting between the oil making countries in Doha (Qatar), Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists.
“Azerbaijan will participate at the meeting between the oil making countries in Doha,” Mammadyarov said yesterday at a press conference after the meeting between Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran.
He said Azerbaijan believes that Iran should increase its oil export up to the pre-sanction period to strengthen its positions at the world market.
Mammadyarov added that Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran have also discussed tripartite cooperation in the energy field.
Yesterday Kazakhstan was invited to the meeting in Doha. “We have invitation. We did not make decision on participation yet,” press office of the Kazakhstan Energy Ministry told Interfax Kazakhstan agency.
Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said earlier that in addition to Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan also could attend the meeting between the oil producing countries of both OPEC and non-OPEC members.
