The consortium of South Korean companies LG International Corp. and Hyundai Engineering Co, LTD will build the installations for cleaning of diesel fuel and gasoline on the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries. Ashgabad’s correspondent of www.Turkmenistan.ru reported that the decree has been signed by Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdymohammadov.
The contract envisages construction of the installation of purifying diesel fuel using hydrogen and isolation of sulfur from gasoline. The South Korean companies will also build the installations of delayed coxing and catalytic cracking making hydrogen.
According to the document, it is planned to build the objects within three and a half years. The presidential decree reads that the contract with the South Korean companies is needed to improve competitiveness of gasoline and diesel fuel manufactured in Turkmenistan at the world market.
The contract between the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries and the consortium of Korean companies LG International Corp and Hyundai Engineering Co, LTD to design and build these objects on a turn-key basis has been signed during the state visit of Turkmenistan President to Korea between April 11 and 14, 2015.
