Botas International Limited company (BIL – technical operator of the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline) has released the data of oil shipment from the oil terminal Ceyhan.
“Since beginning of filling BTC with oil (June 2, 1996) till June 20, 2014 2,564 tankers with oil has been shipped from Ceyhan,” reads the statement placed on the Botas official web site.
Since launching of the BTC oil shipment from Ceyhan has totaled already 1,967 billion barrels.
At present oil from the bloc of oil fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG), condensate from the Shah-Deniz gas condensate field, Turkmenistan and Russian offshore Caspian oil and oil from the Kazakhstan Tengz field are pumped via BTC.
The data of oil transportation via BTC released by the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee, BP-Azerbaijan, SOCAR and BOTAS is different.
The shareholders of BTC Co are BP (30.1%), SOCAR (25%), Chevron (8.9%), Statoil (8.71%), TPAO (6.53%), ENI (5%), Total (5%), Itochu (3.4%), INPEX (2.5%), ConocoPhillips (2.5%) and Hess (2.36%).
