At present Turkey does not plan to get involved into construction of the trans Adriatic pipeline (TAP), reported Turkish media quoting Turkish Minister of Energy and natural Resources Taner Yildiz as saying.
“At present share in TAP is not on the agenda. We are planning to increase our share in construction of trans-Anadolu gas pipeline (TANAP) from 20% to 30%. This is a good thing to do for us from the viewpoint of capital structure and business. In the future shareholders of TAP and TANAP could change many times,” Yildiz added.
He said the experts have been working to calculate exact amount of investments into TANAP gas pipeline construction, which is estimated at $10-12 billion.
“During 2014 we must complete preparation, planning, design and the bids to ensure gas transportation via TANAP at the end of 2018,” Yildiz added.
