The consortium for the trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) construction has invited a tender for construction of the offshore section of the pipeline and delivery of pipes, the company’s press release reads.
The length of the offshore section is 105 km. Maximum depth of the sea, via bottom of which the TAP section will be laid, is 820 meters.
The companies that have passed the pre-qualification selection are invited for participation in the tender.
The consortium will award Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation contract (EPC) for the offshore section of the 36-inch pipeline between Albania and south of Italy. It is also planned to build the bridges in Albania and Italy to connect the offshore platforms with the shore, explore the sea bottom and perform balancing and commission works.
The consortium plans to sign the EPC contract for construction of the offshore section of TAP by the end of 2015 to start construction in May 2016.
