The volume of oil exports from Iran averaged 2.3 million barrels per day (b/d) for the four months of this year on the Iranian calendar (March 21 – July 22).
Last year, the average daily export was 2.115 million b/d. Thus, it increased by 185 thousand b/d, or about 8.8%, Shana reports.
According to government reports and vessel tracking data, oil supplies from Iran to major Asian consumers in May rose to the highest level in eight months.
Indian Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said his country’s consumption of Iranian oil jumped by almost 50% in June, Mehr News reported.
