Purpose of the Role
The Team Lead is responsible for the technical leadership, integration, and quality
assurance of all disciplines involved in the project. The role ensures that
multidisciplinary assessments are performed consistently and translated into a single,
coherent technical and economic recommendation for the client.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
• Lead and coordinate all Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Process, Static,
Rotating, E&I, Civil, Metallurgy, Cost Estimation, and Turnaround & Maintenance
disciplines.
• Ensure technical consistency, completeness, and quality of all analyses and
recommendations.
• Integrate discipline findings into a unified lifetime extension and revamp
roadmap.
• Facilitate technical reviews, validation workshops, and alignment sessions with
stakeholders.
Scope & Deliverables
• Translate the agreed Scope of Work into clear discipline-specific activities.
• Own the technical content of all project deliverables.
• Review and approve technical reports, analyses, and presentations before
submission.
• Ensure recommendations are technically sound, practical, and aligned with
project objectives.
Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary technical counterpart to the client’s Team Lead and discipline
focal points.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between project disciplines and client
stakeholders.
• Support technical decision-making and issue resolution.
Quality & Risk Management
• Identify technical risks, uncertainties, assumptions, and data quality issues
• Ensure compliance with agreed methodologies, standards, and study
assumptions.
• Escalate significant technical risks or scope impacts to the Project Manager.
Authority
• Prioritize technical activities across the project team.
• Validate technical assumptions and methodologies.
• Approve or reject technical deliverables.
• Escalate key technical issues affecting project outcomes.
Success Criteria
• Delivery of high-quality and technically robust project outputs.
• Effective integration of all disciplines into a consistent final recommendation.
• Strong stakeholder confidence in the technical conclusions.
• Minimal rework during review and approval cycles.
