Minimum of 10 years of workshop experience including mechanical disassemebly / assembly, hydraulic testing & gas testing of onesubsea equipment
Experience of assembly & test activities at sut (single unit testing) and fat (factory acceptance test) component level
Education:
Preferrably – Technical Apprenticeship Or Equivalent
Assembly & Testing Specialist:
- Primarily responsible for the supervision of the company’s workshop facility, reporting to the onesubsea project operations manager
Oversee major scope of work involving the major refurbishment of retrieved shah deniz 2 xt’s and associated hardware. 5 off xt systems, 2 complete; 3 are wip
Lead authority for complex activities in the workshop including high risk gas testing, non-standard lifts and non conformance management.
Conduct and coordinate daily activities including safety briefs, competency assesments and risk management prior to commencement of each work shift
Ensure and maintain complaince with hse and onesubsea/bp procedures and standards
Ensure refurbishment, assembly and test of all onesubsea / bp equipment is completed in accordance with the governing documents and applicable standards
Supervise and participate with the primary activities of srt/sit/ planned preventative maintenance and pre deployment testing of all equipment
Ensure pressure testing (hydro & gas) is carried out compliantly with approved procedures and standards
Prepare all supporting documentation and records in accordance with engineering and quality assurance procedures
Provide technical support to the project operations engineer to assit with rca and defect management
Ensure onesubsea / slb job specific training is maintained
Ensure effective & professional working relationship with bp representatives
Undertake regular competance assesments of workshop specific activity in conjuction with relevantdepartments
Ensure all hse and quality requirements are adhered to
Mentor and develop competency of all local workshop and field service population
Essential skills:
Disassembly / assembly & test of major subsea equipment to include xt, tubing hanger, tubing hanger running tool, internal tree cap, bop adaptor spool, bop test tools, xt installation and recovery tooling
Working knowledge of onesubsea equipment
Competence to read and understand engineering technical drawings, procedures and associated test record sheets
Hydraulic testing, gas testing, fluid flushing, working knowledge of hpu and associated test & safety equipment
Good communication skills
Pc literate
Desirable skills:
Supervisory experience
