Education: Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering
Experience:
- More than 10 years of experience in Project Management and Engineering within oil and gas Offshore Engineering and Construction industry;
- Min 5 years of international experience as Project Fabrication / Interface Manager on medium-to large-scale and complex offshore projects.
Skills and Competences:
- Knowledge of Project Management Tools and Methodologies;
- Capability to define project scope in order to meet the needs and expectations of the interested parties;
- Knowledge and experience in commissioning and start-up activities;
- Knowledge of construction sequences for relevant Disciplines;
- Capability to plan and optimise the resources deployment (people, materials and infrastructure required to carry out project activities) in line with the project time schedule ensuring continuous monitoring and control;
- Capability to identify, evaluate, and estimate the level of risk involved in a situation, to compare it against benchmarks or standards and to determine an acceptable level;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills;
Languages: Azerbaijani (fluent); English (fluent)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the governance of projects and initiatives in terms of organisational, financial, technological and contractual aspects, assuring the achievement of the established objectives;
- Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project, in accordance with Client requirements, within time and cost constraints and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures;
- Achieve profit objectives ensuring the observance of the Company procedures and practices;
- For the fabrication phase/activities performed both in internal and external yards, ensure the achievement of the established cost, time, quality and HSE objectives in order to meet the contractual obligations;
- Represent the Company towards Clients, Licensors, Partners and Subcontractors managing contractual aspects;
- Supervise Site or Yard Activities, supported by the Project or Yard organizations;
- Ensure the proper analysis and the review of contractual documents, Bid Fabrication Execution strategy and Bid Estimate;
- Ensure the implementation of methodologies related to risk/opportunity, knowledge management, lessons learned, cost of non-quality and the respect of the Company Golden Rules for the initial activities of a fabrication project (e.g. project set-up, project strategy development, etc.)
- Ensure the implementation of the project strategies and the project planning activities (Project Set-Up, Orga. Chart, Fabrication);
- Execution Plan, Project Mobilisation Plan, Quality Plan, Proc. Plan, HSE Plan, Fabrication detailed schedule, etc.);
- Supervise all project activities with regards to Quality, HSE and Sustainability topics supported by the other project resources;
- Implement and stay abreast of the evolution of the project management tools and methodologies;
- Ensure the issue and the implementation of all required home office and site procedures;
- Approve and supervise planning and cost control activities supported by the other project resources, implementing the corrective actions needed to achieve the established project objectives and ensure the issue of project reports (including the economics such Cost Control Reports, Deviation Analysis, Risk and Opportunities register, Productivity reports);
- Facilitate generation of Project Dashboards / reports to the Business Line Management;
- Coordinate with home office engineering, procurement, commissioning and other project resources to assure the planned delivery of information, documents, materials and what defined in the Execution plan;
- Support the PM/PD during the negotiation with the Client to reach agreement on the outstanding pricing, commercial, contractual and technical aspects of the variation orders;
- Ensure the issue of project Fabrication reports to the Client;
- Ensure the continuous improvement of Fabrication methodologies, promoting the standardization of processes, utilizing the Fabrication digital tools (e.g. YARPO, DCO), the advanced and integrated methodologies (e.g. AWP), and the performance measurement systems;
- Ensure the proper flows of data from other disciplines to ensure timely and punctual feeding of fabrication systems and work processes, granting reporting and visibility on fabrication activities and fabrication status;
- Maintain a valuable trusting relationship with the Client and monitor its satisfaction, supported by the project team members;
- Supervise the subcontractors and vendors activities through the predefined procurement plan, Make vs Buy analysis and by assessing/ executing/monitoring Purchase Order /Purchase Request /Work Order process, mob-demob, progress and performance, invoicing and payment process, final settlement, etc. Monitor final back charges/Liquidated Damages to be applied to any third party (vendors, subcontractors, etc.);
- Coordinate with the supply chain functions for the bidding process, bidder selection, participate in vendor/subcontractor selection bid clarification meetings, technical bid evaluations/approval, ensure that the awarding of the work/service contract are made with most cost-effective manner and within the project Budget;
- Ensure the collection of project feedbacks issuing final project reports (e.g. Close-out Report, root cause analysis, lessons learned, etc.);
- Ensure the issue of completion and delivery certificates;
- Ensure the assistance to the Client during the guarantee period.
