Role Summary
Successful contract management and delivery of projects from award to completion and close-out, including day to
day management and motivation of the contract delivery team.

Office based, sitting, computer use, offshore and onshore site visits, travel
Responsibilities
Build effective relationships internally and externally; manage the relationship between the project team and client
to ensure effective management of the scope, such that all projects are completed effectively strictly in accordance
with the requirements of the contract as a minimum and generate positive feedback
Understanding and positively reacting to Client needs in an expedient and proactive manner
Design, implement and maintain contract delivery processes in alignment with overall Company policy
Responsible for overseeing all Client and Vendor interfaces to ensure seamless project execution is achieved,
managing both Company inputs and client expectations effectively whilst preserving the reputation and interests
of Company at all times
Input to operational personnel recruitment, training and resource allocation, including assessment of resourced
headcount and management of same
Responsible for development, management and delivery of Company budgets whilst maintaining a high level of
client satisfaction, developing and implementing KPIs and performance targets as applicable in conjunction with
client and Company senior management team, providing direction and support to project personnel to achieve
or exceed targets and KPls
Guidance, support, oversight and stewardship of the preparation and challenge of all project cost estimates and
approval of same, with effective management to ensure project budgets are met
Ensuring robust technical and commercial change control mechanisms / procedures are in place and are being
adhered to diligently
Ensuring project related Company sales are maximised with all potential delays mitigated and effective cost
tracking is implemented so that the contract achieves profit targets
Ensuring Appraise, Select, Define, Onshore and Offshore Execute and Close-out Phases, or parts thereof, of all
projects are driven and delivered safely in line with, or ahead of expectations.
Proactive identification of potential issues / conflicts and timely resolution of same
Convene and chair periodic internal and external project meetings and project reviews with clear and concise
actions agreed and executed
Ensuring accurate and timely reporting and planning with prompt identification of changes and likely changes in
the scope of work
Periodic review of Company procedures and policies and development and improvement of same to meet client
or contract expectations and ensuring integration where required, including development of contract specific work
instructions or guidelines, as required to achieve alignment with client systems or requirements
Ensure compliance with Company Integrated Management System, applicable policy, process and procedures
and authority structures and guidelines, supporting periodic internal audit as required
Participation in and support of periodic Company internal audit of contract delivery team, including implementation
of any improvements or corrective actions in a timely manner
Demonstrate a safe approach in design and working practises and promote Company QHSE principles, leading
by example, ensuring unsafe activities are challenged
Adherence to the requirements of best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking
of duties. In particular, lessons learned, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary
to ensure the delivery of safe and effective design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems
Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are
undertaken in a timely manner, both for self and members of contract delivery team
Demonstrate and promote Company values and lead by example, recognising the additional responsibility this
leadership role carries
Ensure direct report performance reviews are carried out within the required timescales
Operational input to Executive Team meetings
Contribution to relevant sections of monthly Investment Board packs
Periodic presentation at and participation in Investment Board meetings
Authorities
Authorised to approve project expenditure and costs on behalf of the Company, within Company guidelines
Authorised to accept and approve project related contracts and purchase orders on behalf of the Company,
within Company guidelines and procedures
Authorised to approve ICV’s relating to contract responsibility
Authorised to approve CTRs to the value of £1 million
