In January-April 2025, Azerbaijani consumers spent 1.156 billion manats (just under $680 million) on gasoline and diesel fuel through the retail trade network, marking a 7% increase year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During this period, 6.3% of total consumer expenditures on final goods fell to gasoline and diesel fuel purchases.
During the first four months of 2025, consumer spending in Azerbaijan’s retail trade network totaled 18.4 billion manats ($10.82 billion). Of this amount, 10.3 billion manats ($6.05 billion) were spent on food products, beverages, and tobacco, while 8.1 billion manats ($4.76 billion) were allocated to non-food items.
