This position of Deputy General Director is responsible for all related Product Management, Product Quality, Production Planning issues, including Production Cycles Development, Production Planning (long-term and short-term), New Product Development, Product Quality Improvements, Technical Quality Control for Procurement, Technical Support for Sales, Customer Technical Support, Claims regarding Quality of Products, Product Quality Control, Process Quality Control, Feedstock Quality Control as well. The Individual must provide support to more junior staff and be able to allocate human resource, as well as to delegate the work accordingly.
The daily responsibility is to monitor plant operation, provide support to the Head Engineer/Operation Manager, Procurement Manager, and SOCAR’s Sales Team and work closely with sales and operation teams.
JOB DUTIES
- Organize, implement, and maintain production process flow for the most attractive and profitable Polypropylene and Polyethylene Product Portfolio
- Develop the most efficient production cycles to cover demand in the main sales geographies in communication with the Sales Department and the Production Department
- Control of the bagging department of the company and the packaging process
- Development, performance and maintenance of the activities of reporting to this position departments to obtain the maximum efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organization.
- Develop frameworks for strategic, organizational, management solutions according to key special project requirements, providing customized and innovative approaches.
- Develop and maintain a quality control system, including the development of technical requirements for raw materials, incoming control of raw materials, production quality control and acceptance of finished products
- Improve continually existing operation, for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings
- Investigate operational problems affecting product quality and reporting and recommending solutions
- Provide manufacturing data i.e. production control charts, reliability, process
- Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
- Ensure in compliance with company and industry standards
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies.
- Work closely with the staff to select most appropriate process improvement techniques.
- Prioritize and develop projects based on critical needs.
- Optimize current processes to meet all customer and internal requirements.
- Work with multi-functional team to achieve project goals.
- Develop and maintain process related documents.
- Recommend new ideas and techniques to ensure project success and evaluate current processes and provide recommendations.
- Perform process design, development, and implementation of capital projects
- Analyze and troubleshoot process problems so as to make continuous and permanent improvements.
- Develop Product Development/Improvement Strategies, as well as develop and implement new value-added products
- Support of Procurement Process by RMS/CRMS and Approved Vendor List for all required feedstock materials
- Support of Sales and Logistic Processes by TDS/Product Specifications/Detailed Product Information for all product portfolio
- Support of Production Process by Quality Plan and product related documents like Internal Product Specifications, etc.
- Develop Production Plan and Production Schedule (annually, quarterly, monthly)
- Other duties requested by Line Manager
- Deputy General Director must be accountable and is completely responsible for what they do during his/her work in the plant.
- Deputy General Director must also carefully document technical processes and procedures to ensure that all processes comply with both industry safety regulations and Operating manuals.
- Deputy General Director needs excellent eye for details. Deputy General Director will be responsible for delivering regular recommendations on how to maintain staff levels and lower costs, while meeting all of the quality standards set forth by the company and government regulations.
- Deputy General Director has the obligation to report on the actual status of the plant, explain and be answerable for resulting consequences of any potential actions.
- He/she provides weekly /monthly report, and information on raw material, catalyst and chemicals consumption of the plant for planning
REQUIREMENTS
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge of Azeri and English
- Good knowledge of Russian is an asset
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Knowledge of polymerization technologies and processes
- Knowledge of theory for polyolefins reaction (such as bulk, slurry and gas-phase polymerization technology), heat transfer (such as shell & tube heat exchanger), distillation column and operating of rotating machine such as pumps, blower and compressors, etc.
- Experience in product management and product development
- Experience in quality management
- Experience in customer support
EQUPMENT SKILLS:
- Confidence with PFD/PID/Datasheets
- Good knowledge of MS Office Applications
Education and experience
- Minimum 10+ years of professional experience within Petrochemical Industry
- BSc or MSc degree in Chemical Engineering, however MSc degree is more preferable.
