1. Company Information:
In March 2015 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and KBR announced an agreement to
establish a new engineering and support Services Company in Azerbaijan, SOCAR-KBR LLC. This Company
provides design, engineering, technical, procurement, construction supervision and project management services
for projects across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas sectors in Azerbaijan. The key objective of this strong partnership is to create a world class Azerbaijan-based EPCM services company that will utilize the
strengths of both organizations and deliver top quality results by developing and promoting Azerbaijani national
content. The company has a long-term commitment from both organizations.
Job responsibilities:
· Provide support to structural designers and engineers working on the jacket structure.
· Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to: leading the team of designers, producing
deliverables with approved work instructions and procedures.
· Work closely with the lead engineer and other design engineers to ensure that the team of designers produce
the deliverables and development of design in accordance with the master document register.
· Ensure that E3D model is as per categories and specifications approved for the project.
· Other responsibilities include nesting of plates, object engineering, E3D downloads of weights and buoyancy
data for jacket weight report preparation, participation in E3D model reviews, clash reviews, co-ordination with
other disciplines.
· Ensure that proper QA procedures are followed while preparing, checking and issuing various deliverables.
Key attributes / skills / experience:
· HNC in Civil & Structural engineering or similar / higher qualification.
§ Minimum 20+ years in Offshore Structural Design experience.
§ Strong advanced knowledge and hands-on experience of E3D modelling.
§ Hands on knowledge of Cats & Specs used for E3D development.
§ Strong communication skills, including coordinating and working with project team members across global
offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.
