Purpose of the job |
Advise clients at complex (multidisciplinary) issues in the field of Asset Management to aim of using and developing (improve) the AMS Asset Management concept as a clear trademark for our customers. From his extensive network, he brings in new leads and orders.
Characterization |
Leads one or more client projects of a complex or innovative nature in order to make sure the projects are completed within the time, scope, and budget agreed upon with the client. Additionally evaluates customer area of improvement regarding her business driver to support the customer in increasing stakeholders value; making recommendations and finding new solutions for improvement (organizational and technological); designs concepts and PMC’s that best fit client’s needs (in close cooperation with the Capability Manager).
Expertise |
- Demonstrate and is known for expert knowledge of one (or more) of the practices or industry segments within Asset Management Consultancy, allowing to serve clients with specialist knowledge and innovative solutions. By leveraging this expert knowledge, the Principal Consultant is one of the pillars on which the organization is built.
- Develop creative solutions and PMC’s to address complex client issues
- Actively work on new products, concepts or other activities that are commercially effective to add on to the portfolio of services of Stork Asset Management Consultancy.
- Contribute to knowledge development of others (internally & externally) by creating and disseminating a knowledge management strategy within own area of expertise
People Skills |
- Motivate others to produce results, even if there is resistance, by assessing behavior and opinions of others and raising own knowledge and arguments at the right time in the right way
- Maintain lasting relationships with clients and other stakeholders in the industry business or practice area which will generate future orders.
Entrepreneurship/ Accountability |
- Provide rewarding exposure for Stork through actively participating in seminars/ congresses about developments in his/her work area and by e.g. publishing white papers and organizing round tables. Makes these activities commercially effective.
- Manage, direct, monitor and render account of a complex project (and people) and takes responsibility to complete the project successfully on target on time within budget. Strives to ensure client’s satisfaction until the project/solution is complete.
- Translate trends and developments into future products and services (integrate with O&M and/or P&C expertise) tailored to the needs of the market: Comes up with new concepts, based on market analyses, develops a go-to-market strategy and creates tools and methods to deliver the proposition. Turns it into new business for Stork by leveraging knowledge and training others
- Actively build and maintain an extensive network in the industry business. Brings in leads from this network (Consultative selling) for either Asset Management Consultancy or other business lines within Stork. Assists other business lines with advise, e.g. on client solutions, on business proposals or as speaker at local events
- Support senior consultants to develop a portfolio of client relationships. Plays a vital role in selling repetitive business to existing clients by means of high quality delivery
- Develop via AMS opportunities for Stork-Masa to extend their business in O&M and/or P&C activities by applying the ‘Tip of the Spear’ philosophy
- Sharpen the vision of the organization, comes up with strategic initiatives and improves the value proposition of the practice portfolio to become one of the global leaders in Asset Management Consultancy.
Leadership |
- Manage a project team of consultants and/or client staff. Knows how to support the team, plan team activities (plan-do-check-act) and employ capabilities in order to achieve successful joint results. Internally and externally disseminates the culture of the organization (i.e. business line Asset Management Consultancy)
- Contribute to the value proposition of the practice portfolio to become one of the global leaders in Asset Management Consultancy
- Show ‘executive presence’ in spreading out their knowledge and vision for which he/she is frequently consulted by clients and others
Skills |
Education
- Holds a Bachelor/Master’s degree in one of the technical sciences.
- Certificate: CMRP / PMP
Experience
- In principle a minimum of 15 years relevant working experience preferably including demonstrable project management experience
Languages:
- Spanish and English language (Level: Advanced)
Knowledge field experience
- Has a broad knowledge of all aspects within Asset Management.
