Main Responsibilities
Ensure Crane integrity is maintained to current legislative, corporate and manufacturers recommendations
Ensure Crane availability is attained to client specification
Carry out planned maintenance routines ensuring spares & resources are planned and organized in a timely manner
All maintenance to be carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the Duty Holders safe systems of work
Report all incidents and near misses immediately to EnerMech and Installation Management
Completion of mechanics daily log, trip reports and enter data into maintenance management system
Understand the management of change process to be able to identify and initiate change managements events.
Undertake Emergency Response duties as required
Ensure all waste is disposed of in accordance with ISO 14001 guidance
Ensure a safe and comprehensive shift handover is conducted and recorded
Operate Crane for installation and vessel lifts within crane design envelope, taking into consideration prevailing weather and sea states and current load
Ensure constant clear and effective communication with deck crew and vessel crew
Complete Pre-Use Checklists before commencing each shift
Ensure Good Housekeeping within Crane Cabin and machinery
Coach and develop new staff members in safe operations of offshore cranes
Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported to EnerMech and the Installation Management immediately
Job Qualifications Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Essential
· VHF Restricted Radio Certificate
· A recognized apprenticeship or mechanical qualification
· Stage III Crane Operator Certificate
· Subsequent Stage III assessment at 2 year intervals
Preferred
· Knowledge of Hydraulic closed and open loop systems
· 5 years offshore experience
· 3 years in a lifting equipment environment
· Banksman Slinger Certificate
· Basic Rigging
