Turkmenistan plans to significantly increase gas production at one of the country’s largest fields, “Galkynysh,” Stephen Travers, director of “GaffneyCline” stated at the international conference and exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2024” in Ashgabat.
“By 2030, gas production volumes at this field will increase to 160 mcm per day, opening new opportunities for economic growth and the energy security of the state,” noted the company’s director.
According to him, achieving these ambitious goals requires active development of the field, including modernization of extraction and processing technologies. Increasing gas volumes will not only improve the country’s financial indicators but also allow diversification of export routes, which will play a key role in strengthening Turkmenistan’s economic stability.
It is worth noting that the company had previously announced the development of a seven-stage plan for the field’s development in collaboration with the Natural Gas Research Institute in Turkmenistan.
