The U.S. oil and gas giant Exxon Mobil achieved a daily production of 4.6 million barrels of oil equivalent in the third quarter.
“This quarter, we reached the highest level of liquid hydrocarbons production in the last 40 years. We produced 4.6 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, reflecting our first full quarter with Pioneer,” Exxon Mobil’s Chief Financial Officer Kathy Mikels stated.
From January to September, the average daily production was 4.243 million barrels of oil equivalent (+14.4% compared to the same period last year). The company forecasts an annual production figure of around 4.3 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
“With the acquisition of Pioneer, more than 50% of our production now comes from our premium assets – this goal was initially set for 2027. We now expect that by 2027, over 60% of our production will come from highly competitive assets,” the company noted.
