BOS Shelf International FZCO is looking for a Senior Operations Manager

Main Purpose of Role:

Senior operations manager reporting directly to the chief Operations officer responsible for the operational management of the yard activities ensuring  governance of projects within the organization structure and establishing  a safe working environment for all the workers in Bos shelf.

Prime Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Effective management of the all operational interfaces with Clients, customers, suppliers and subcontractors ensuring that all projects objectives are fully supported by all stakeholders

·         Set policies and key performance indicators for the senior level of managers including Project Managers, Fabrication managers, Site managers both on offshore and onshore activities.

·         Drive the key messages to all operational staff on QHSE policy and objectives ensuring that environmental, safety and Quality expectations are fully complied with.

·         Ensure Project execution plans address and manage all risks in critical areas of design, detailed engineering, Procurement, material selection subcontracting services, construction, installation and Pre commissioning.

·         Support and co-ordination with the Technical Management function ensuring the engineering interfaces are aligned in the deliverables required to effectively deliver the construction.

·         Responsible for all the functions that support the construction and delivery of the projects to customers’ expectations including, Project management teams, planning / scheduling / Project controls, QHSE, Engineering, Yard services.

·         Yard development improvement of infrastructure, introduction new technologies, improvement plans for nationalization, improvement of skill sets with robust training programs ensuring correct competence of workforce is at the acceptable level to safety execute the work

·         Management of the overall manpower profile that fully supports the required mix of skilled labour required by the various projects to meet the demands of the project schedules.

·         Ensure that robust checks and balances are in place to monitor the daily performance of the yard activities including progress, productivity, Safety and quality objectives are being achieved.

·         Within the appointment of the steering committees, Prepare summary status reports for the directors, shareholders and Customers on a regular basis.

·         Perform regular peer reviews for individual projects ensuring that organizational structures are mature and capable of delivering the end product.

·         Daily engagement with the construction leaders and project managers keeping an open door policy to ensure effective communication at all levels

·         Ensure that the principles of team working are fully embedded in the organizational set ups and clear roles and responsibilities of key staff members as fully understood.

·         Ensure rewards schemes are budgeted for to encourage positive performances on quality and safety during work execution.

·         Ensure regular meetings are structured to include all stakeholders are given the platform to discuss issues and concerns.

·         Chair regular employee management forums to ensure the voice of the workers is allowed to be heard and address potential issues or concerns.
