Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering discipline (required). Ideally Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years experience in related field
Job Description
- Identify the human resources required to sustain the work. Identify and manage the training needs of the affiliated team. Ensure the necessary coordination with other teams for the work.
- Develop model predictive control applications to ensure reliable and profitable production in refinery and petrochemical processes. Monitor the most efficient operation of these applications and make necessary adjustments.
- Monitor basic level control performance and making improvements. Establish basic level control monitoring software and manage its lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the relevant units to create flow compensation tags to be used in reports such as Product Account and Data Reconciliation (PAR), mass balances and refinery shift report in DCS and ensuring that the tags are created in DCS.
- Ensure that the dynamic model and control systems are up to date and the system is available.
- Determine alarm management strategies. Support alarm management activities and manage the life cycles of alarm KPI Reporting software.
- Determine the needs required to realize the applications within the scope of its duties and responsibilities. Decide and manage the budget required for these applications.
- Monitor and report process control and alarm management metrics and KPIs for profitable, reliable, and sustainable operations. Carry out studies to improve KPIs.
- Monitor technological and sectoral innovations and changes related to APC and Automation in line with the requirements of legal legislation and international standards; to ensure that they are monitored and to develop improvement suggestions for unit activities.
