Trans-Caspian oil products supplies from Turkmenistan in the first half of this year decreased by 39% compared to January-June 2023, amounting to 320.3 thousand tons, the report by the “Argus Caspian” news agency.
The decrease in shipments is due to a decrease in refining at the Turkmenbashi refinery, as well as an increase in fuel supplies to neighboring countries, market participants believe.
At the same time, more than 298 thousand tons of Turkmen petroleum products were exported to the Azerbaijani direction in January-June 2024. According to “Argus Caspian,” in the first half of last year Turkmenistan sent 448 thousand tons of petroleum products to Azerbaijan.
