Job Description
The NOV Lead Electrical Specialist is normally assigned to a specific project and is responsible for the direct supervision of the various disciplines that perform the hands-on work associated with installation/commissioning and service of all NOV supplied equipment as defined by the project’s Supply Contract.
- Perform electrical engineering assignments under direct supervision with discretion to work detail.
- Perform electrical engineering analysis on electrical systems
- Ensure that all work performed in accordance with NOV standard practices and customer specifications
- Follow the electrical department rules and procedures.
- Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environmental requirements.
- All other duties and associated tasks as assigned to help meet or exceed the customer expectations and company goals.
Required work experience for this position:
10 years + of International Experience , as well as 5 years + of NOV Equipment knowledge as well as Practical Experience in below indicated equipment:
Top Drive (HPS 750)
Hydratong (MPT 200)
Drawworks
Multi Machine Control
Cyberbase
DCI
PLC Controls (Simatic Manager, Siemens TIA)
HMI (Cyberbase and WinCc)
Desirable skills and qualifications:
10+ years of experience on Installation / Commissioning and Service projects
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ Years of Electrical design and/or troubleshooting in heavy machinery preferred.
- Good communication skills
- Have knowledge of standard manufacturing processes and practices.
