In January-June of this year, 2 million 726.68 thousand tons of gas condensate were produced in Azerbaijan, by 7.4% more than in the first half of last year.
According to the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2 million 722.79 thousand tons accounted for the share of commercial condensate volumes, which means an increase of 1%.
In 2023, 5 million 215.84 thousand tons of gas condensate were produced in Azerbaijan, by 3.92% more than a year earlier. Last year, the share of commercial condensate volumes accounted for 5 million 190.25 thousand tons of gas condensate produced in Azerbaijan, which means an increase of 4.06%.
It should be noted that gas condensate (ultralight liquid hydrocarbon) is extracted during the operation of gas fields. In Azerbaijan, the main volume of condensate production is accounted for at the “Shah Deniz,” “Umid”, and “Absheron” fields.
