Purpose of the job |
Advise independently and support clients (as a project leader, process oriented or based on expertise) when developing or improving new solutions in the field of Asset Management, by which extensive professional knowledge and advisory skills are being utilized. Based on his/her expertise and thought leadership, the senior consultant is asked to advise clients at (multidisciplinary) issues in the field of Asset Management. Using and developing (improve) the AMS Asset Management concept as a clear trademark for our customers. From his network, he brings in new leads and orders.
Characterization |
Leads one or more client projects of a complex or innovative nature in order to make sure the projects are completed within the time, scope, and budget agreed upon with the client. Additionally evaluates customer area of improvement regarding her business driver to support the customer in increasing stakeholders value; making recommendations and finding new solutions for improvement (organizational and technological); designs concepts and PMC’s that best fit client’s needs (in close cooperation with the Capability Manager).
A beginning senior consultant (SC-A) has developed solid consultancy skills and is developing deeper expertise. He/she converts client need in advice on solutions by applying knowledge and best practices. Can lead one or more phases of complex or innovative projects. He/she acquires leads and orders for self and preferably others.

Expertise |
- Translate complex client issues into (new) solutions and PMC’s, consistent with quality demands of the client.
- Contribute proactively to the development of new products or services or other activities to add on to the portfolio of services of Stork Asset Management Consultancy or for Stork-Masa in general. Has understanding of what goes on in the market, e.g. identifies trends and has insight in the possibilities of the current and future products and services tailored to the needs of the market
- Contribute to Knowledge Management and product development by proactively working on ‘bringing, securing or spreading knowledge’, and urge others to do the same.
- Actively participate in development of the knowledge platform and competence centers.

- Motivate others to produce results, even if there is resistance, by assessing behaviour and opinions of others and raising own knowledge and arguments at the right time in the right way

- Knows how to lead a large and complex project or to manage a significant work stream on a very complex, innovative and/or multidisciplinary project. Focus is on content and workflow / process, delivering on target, on time, within budget.
- Acquires leads and orders for self and others to reach/exceed the sales target of € 200K.
- Builds a network of professional contacts. Proactively meets with client professionals to discuss client’s concerns to develop tactical (and strategic) understanding of the client’s business environment and needs. Leverages the value proposition of Stork and identifies when Stork can contribute to address client’s needs.
Leadership |
- Works with minimal oversight: Addresses most issues and questions from client independently within area of responsibility, no daily direction. Seeks input when necessary, only consults on significant issues or topics, and keeps informed on status periodically.
- Can lead a team of professionals to successfully execute project deliverables, by setting clear and reasonable expectations, managing time, having the team members set their priorities, provide guidance, leadership and constructive feedback.
Skills |
Education
- Holds a Bachelor/Master’s degree in one of the technical sciences
- Certificate: CMRP
Experience
- In principle a minimum of 10-12 years relevant working experience including demonstrable project management experience
Knowledge field experience
- Has a reasonably broad knowledge of all aspects within Asset Management (= incl maintenance management)
Languages:
- Spanish and English language (Level: High – Intermediate)
