Job Title : Senior Structural Engineer

Purpose of Job: The Senior Structural Engineer shall
be able to perform all forms of structural integrity calculations using a
mixture of software packages (STAADPRO min and any other) and hand
calculations.

Qualifications:
The Senior Structural Engineer shall have bachelor`s degree on
relevant subjects such as Mechanical / Marine or civil and engineering and 10
years of experience within the Industry and in similar roles.
|
|
Primary Responsibilities: to conduct structural design,
investigation, and repair and rehabilitation projects; complete and review
analysis and design calculations; execute and manage the preparation of
drawings and specifications; assist with mentoring of junior staff; manage
project budgets and schedules
|
|
Areas of responsibility: The Senior Structural
Engineer shall be able to perform all forms of structural integrity
calculations using a mixture of software packages (STAADPRO min and any
other) and hand calculations.
|
|
Key Functions:
Develop the specification and
design of engineering projects from initial concept through detail design,
construction/installation and final close-out.Perform calculations for
lifting, spreader beams, Padeyes. Be able to size structural sections for all
design loads including walkways and platforms that support equipment loads.
All to international standards such as AISC, API RP 2A. ABS rules, DNV rules.Be able to work on own
initiative and analyse existing and new structures.Supervise, Advise and liaise
with the Structural Discipline Design Team to ensure all design drawings and
documents clearly reflect the agreed design philosophy and specification. Prepare all necessary design
reports and work packs throughout the design development phase. To ensure that project
materials and equipment have all necessary certification in accordance with
the design and national specifications.Carry out offshore and
onshore site surveysShare experience and
knowledge with new employees.
