The total gas production (including gas volumes injected into oil wells) of Azerbaijan in January-September 2022 amounted to 34.4 bcm, by 8.6% more (2.7 bcm) than the indicator 9 months of 2021, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The agency’s statistics did not include commercial gas volumes.
According to the agency’s operational data, SOCAR accounted for 5.9 bcm of gas production, 10 bcm of associated gas from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block, and 18.5 bcm from the “Shah Deniz” field. The Ministry notes that from the start of development until October 1, 2022, a total of about 200 bcm of associated gas was produced from the ACG block, and about 176 bcm of natural gas from the “Shah Deniz” field.
