The volume of crude oil production at the Tengiz field, which is being developed by Tengizchevroil (TCO), in January-March 2022 amounted to 7.3 million tons.
According to Caspian Barrel, citing the TCO press service, in January-March 2022, the Kazakh side earned $2.9 billion from the Tengiz project.
The income of Kazakhstan includes:
- payment of dividends to the Kazakhstani partner;
- wages for Kazakh employees;
- purchases of goods and services from Kazakh suppliers;
- payments to state enterprises;
- payment of taxes and royalties transferred to the state budget.
Since 1993, Kazakhstan has earned $164 billion as part of the project.
