Oil production with gas condensate in Azerbaijan in 2021 amounted to 34 million 580.7 thousand tons, which is 0.1% higher than in 2020.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, including last year, the production of marketable oil with condensate amounted to 34 million 512.8 thousand tons. Growth also amounted to 0.1%.
Gas production in Azerbaijan in 2021 amounted to 43 billion 863.5 mcm (an increase of 18.1%) At the same time, commercial gas production amounted to 32 billion 573.8 mcm, State Statistical Committee (SSC) reported. Compared to 2020, the volume of commercial gas in Azerbaijan increased by 23% or by 6 billion 508.7 million cubic meters.
It should be noted that for the first time in the years of blue fuel production, the statistics of which have been kept since 1929, Azerbaijan has managed to extract about 32.6 bcm of commercial gas from the bowels. In Soviet times, gas production peaked in 1982 – 14.89 bcm. In the first year of Azerbaijan’s independence, in 1992, gas production in the country amounted to 7.87 bcm. The smallest volumes of gas production in Azerbaijan were recorded in 2004 – 4.99 bcm. Since then, Azerbaijan has increased commercial gas production by 6.52 times.
