Internet scammers have once again started sending messages on behalf of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and other companies about opportunities to win gifts and make profits, Report informs, citing a statement by SOCAR.
The purpose of such messages is to obtain the personal data of citizens, the company says.
“SOCAR strongly declares that it does not offer the opportunity to win prizes and make a profit by conducting surveys or contests via the Internet. All company announcements are published only on www.socar.az website. We recommend everyone to be careful not to fall into the trap of fraudsters,” the company said.
