In January-August 2021, the volume of gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 27 billion 917.4 mcm.
According to the State Statistics Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic, compared to the same period last year, the volume of gas production in the country increased by 11.3%).
At the same time, the production of commercial gas amounted to 20 billion 593.4 mcm, and compared to January-August 2020, an increase of 14.6% was recorded.
Based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, according to the estimates of the Turan agency, for the first time in the history of Azerbaijan, more than 30 bcm of commercial gas volumes will be produced. In Soviet Azerbaijan, the peak volume of gas production fell on 1982 – 14.89 bcm.
It should be noted that by the end of 2020, gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 36 billion 713.3 mcm, and commercial gas – 26.05 bcm.
