Azerbaijan: imports gasoline, crude oil and natural gas

According to official statistics, Azerbaijan imported 29,850.19 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan in the first half of 2021, by 2.7 times less than in January-June 2020, the quarterly report of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The cost of oil imported from Turkmenistan in January-June of this year amounted to $ 14 million 224.62 thousand (a 2-fold decline).

Based on statistical data, the cost of imported oil by Azerbaijan amounted to $ 64.40 per barrel.

Statistics indicate that this year Azerbaijan imported oil only from Turkmenistan.

In 2020, Azerbaijan also imported 180 thousand 569.8 tons of oil from Turkmenistan, in total – $58 million 668.33 thousand.

According to statistics, in January-June 2021, Azerbaijan also imported 268 million 903.43 thousand cubic meters of natural gas amounting $ 10 million 206.53 thousand. If we proceed from customs declarations, then 1,000 cubic meters of imported gas cost Azerbaijan $37.96. At the same time, the entire volume of gas imports for the reporting period fell on Iran.

It should be noted that compared to the same period last year, gas imports to Azerbaijan from Iran increased 4.7 times in quantitative and monetary terms.

In 2020, the declared import of gas to Azerbaijan amounted to 134 million 429.62 thousand cubic meters of gas for $ 5 million 102.43 thousand. All imports fell on Iran.

In addition, in the first half of 2021, Azerbaijan imported 76,970.9 tons of high-octane motor gasoline, which is 2 times higher than the same period last year. Azerbaijan spent $ 53 million 486.22 thousand on gasoline import.
In 2020, Azerbaijan imported 99 thousand 653.29 tons of high-octane gasoline in the amount of $ 60 million 711.78 thousand
