Azerbaijan’s revenues from the activities of trunk pipelines in the first half of 2021 amounted to 1 billion 506.453 million manats ($ 886.1 million at the current exchange rate), which is 20.9% higher than the same period last year.
According to statistics, in particular, revenues from the activities of oil trunk pipelines, including Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, amounted to 633 million 343.6 thousand manats ($ 372.6 million). Compared to the same period last year, the volume of these revenues decreased by 8.2%.
Income from the activities of the main gas pipelines of Azerbaijan amounted to 873 million 109.9 thousand manats ($ 513.6 million), an increase of 49%.
During the reporting period, 17 million 458.1 thousand tons of oil were transported via trunk pipelines (a decrease of 4.9%), gas pipelines – 17 billion 70.4 million cubic meters of gas (an increase of 9.5%).
At the same time, in the total volume of oil pumped through the mainBy oil pipelines, about 74.9% is transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, and 49% of the volume of gas pumped through the main gas pipelines falls on the South Caucasus pipeline.
