“Theoretically, we can cooperate with the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) in the field of development and production from fields. This is within the scope of our professional interests,” Vagif Aliyev, Head of the SOCAR Investment Department, told Turkish journalists.
According to him, the largest foreign investments of SOCAR were invested in Turkey; their volume reached $ 16.5 billion.
“SOCAR has extensive experience in the exploration of oil and gas fields, as well as drilling in the seas. The Black Sea, due to its depth and wave intensity, may not be suitable for the installation of a traditional platform. However, production can be established with the involvement of new technologies, including without direct participation of people in the process,”said a SOCAR representative.
