Erdogan: Turkey and Azerbaijan can jointly implement oil and gas projects in Libya
Turkey and Azerbaijan can jointly implement projects in the oil and gas sector in Libya, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
“Currently, we are connected with Azerbaijan by the TANAP and TAP gas pipeline projects. Outside of these projects, we can take new steps. What could it be? For example, there is a company associated with TPAO, together with which we can operate in Libya,” Erdogan said in an interview with Turkish journalists.
The Turkish leader added that Azerbaijan and Turkey have rich knowledge and experience, so steps can be taken “even in the field of drilling.”
“I offered this to Ilham Aliyev, and he expressed his satisfaction with this proposal and his readiness to work in this direction. I hope that by taking such joint steps, we will find an opportunity to open up not only for Europe, but also expand our activities in our own countries, and even more in other countries,” Erdogan stressed.
