Since the beginning of the year, Azerbaijan exported about 254 thousand tons of oil through Russia
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan exported 253.76 thousand tons of oil through the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline in January-April 2021. Such data are contained in the operational summary of the Central Dispatch Office of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Russian Federation.
“According to the system of the Transneft Company, the transit of oil from Azerbaijan to the port of Novorossiysk in January-April 2021 amounted to 253.76 thousand tons of oil. At the same time, in April, oil exports along this route amounted to 84.31 thousand tons,” the data says.
In January 2021, the pumping of raw materials from Azerbaijan in the direction of Novorossiysk was not carried out.
On January 20, Demin told Interfax that Transneft and SOCAR signed an agreement on pumping more than 1 million tons of oil through the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline in 2021.
In 2020, Azerbaijan exported 613.29 thousand tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline. Azerbaijan has been transporting its oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline since 1997.
