Until April 1, 2021, 3 billion 923 million barrels of oil were extracted from the offshore block of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields since the start of development (November 7, 1997).
BP-Azerbaijan reported that 3.9 billion barrels of oil have been produced from the ACG contract area so far.
However, the Caspian Barrel, based on the audited data of BP itself (reports on Azerbaijan), as well as on the data of not rounded data of the project operator (BP company), calculated that 3 billion 923 million barrels of oil were produced from ACG by the end of the first quarter of 2021.
According to the estimates of the Caspian Barrek, the international consortium headed by BP will extract 4 billion barrel of oil from the ACG contract area by the end of the first decade of September this year.
Three 3 billion barrel of oil was produced from ACG in October 2016, and BP and partners had to work day and night in the Caspian for almost 5 years to extract the next billion of raw materials (135 million tons).
