US President Joe Biden extended the sanctions regime against Iran introduced by Washington in 1995
“The actions and policies of the Iranian government continue to pose an unusual and extreme threat to the national security, foreign policy and economy of the United States,” the document, signed by Biden, published on the White House website on the evening of March 5, says.
Biden referred to Iran’s dangerous actions as “the proliferation and development of missiles and other asymmetric and conventional weapons, a campaign of regional aggression, support for terrorist groups and the malicious activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and their henchmen.”
