By the end of 2020, the export of Azerbaijani gas increased by 16.9%, amounting to 13.8 billion cubic meters
Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said this at a video-format meeting dedicated to the results of 2020, chaired by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to him, the main reason for this growth was the Southern Gas Corridor: “From December 31, 2020, for the first time, the transportation of commercial gas to Europe via the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) began”.
The Minister said that currently 10.5 million cubic meters (mcm) of Azerbaijani gas are exported to Italy daily, 2 mcm to Greece, and 1 mcm to Bulgaria.
